Amaya Stalka

Amaya is an artist that resides in Illinois and has earned her BFA in Illustration at Northern Illinois University. Her preferred medium is digital painting, while also enjoying traditional acrylic painting, inking, and lino-cut printmaking. She have always been fascinated and inspired by the natural world, especially nonhuman creatures and what can be communicated about our own world through them. The world's diversity in life allows her to heighten and exaggerate reality in her art. Eye-catching color, unique character design, and a sense of story and wonder is what she strives for. Amaya specializes in projects designed for children's illustrations, book covers, and concept art, but is also versatile and will readily take on new and exciting opportunities that need a creative hand.
